Crystal Palace has turned down a £30 million bid from Italian club Atalanta for their in-form striker Jean-Philippe Mateta. The South London club made it clear that they are not willing to sell Mateta to Atalanta, despite the offer being £30 million. Mateta still has two years left on his contract at Selhurst Park, and it remains to be seen if Crystal Palace would consider a higher offer.

The Italian club is looking to sign a new forward after selling their top goal scorer from last season, Mateo Retegui, to a Saudi Pro League club for £56 million. Atalanta has also shortlisted other players, including Fulham's Rodrigo Muniz, Lecce's Nikola Krstovic, and Genk's Tolu Arokodare, as potential targets.
