Brighton's technical director, David Weir, believes that this move will be beneficial for Osman's growth and development. Weir added that Osman's experience in the Eredivisie and Champions League while on loan at Feyenoord will help him adapt to the French league.
Auxerre, who finished 11th in Ligue 1 last season, sees Osman as a key addition to their attack. They aim to establish themselves in the top flight, and Osman's skills will undoubtedly play a significant role in this goal.
Osman expressed his enthusiasm about joining Auxerre, saying, "Happy to be here. Can't wait to get started. See you soon." He began his football journey at Ghana's Right to Dream Academy, where he honed his skills before moving to Danish Superliga side FC Nordsjælland in early 2023.
At FC Nordsjælland, Osman quickly established himself, making 44 appearances, scoring 10 goals, and providing 10 assists in all competitions. His impressive performances caught the eye of Premier League club Brighton, who signed him in February 2024 for a reported £16 million on a long-term deal.
Osman will join an Auxerre squad featuring fellow Ghanaians Gideon Mensah and Elisha Owusu, which should help him adapt quickly to his new team.
