Wolves have had a tumultuous start to the season, with just two points from their first ten Premier League matches, and have since parted ways with manager Vitor Pereira.
According to reports, ten Hag is open to the idea of rebuilding his career at Wolves, despite reservations about taking on the job in the middle of the season.
Other contenders for the Wolves job include Middlesbrough manager Rob Edwards and former Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick, with Gary O'Neil having stepped down from consideration.
