Villas-Boas paid tribute to Jota's dedication and commitment to the club, both on and off the pitch. He remembered Jota as a "silent hero" who was deeply respected by everyone at FC Porto. The club's esports team had also partnered with Jota, and he will be remembered fondly by the fans.

Although Jota was not an official member of the club during his lifetime, Villas-Boas said that he had become one in death. In a symbolic gesture, the club has refunded André Silva's membership fees to his family.

The club's chairman also extended his condolences to Jota's teammates from Liverpool, Wolverhampton, and other clubs, as well as to the families of those who were affected by the tragedy.
