Berta recently arrived in Lisbon to engage in face-to-face discussions with Sporting's directors and negotiate a suitable transfer fee.

It has been suggested that the transfer fee could reach up to £70 million, which would make Gyokeres one of the most expensive signings in Arsenal's history.

Notably, Gyokeres had already agreed to join Arsenal several weeks ago, with a contract worth £200,000 per week.
