Following the previous incident, Bissouma apologized for his actions and received a one-game suspension. He is currently recovering from an ankle injury and has been excluded from the team, not having played under new manager Thomas Frank.

Bissouma was also left out of the UEFA Super Cup squad due to issues with punctuality during pre-season training. His last appearance was on May 25th in a match against Brighton.
