Fernandes previously turned down a £200m move to Al-Hilal, another Saudi Pro League team, at the end of last season. Now, Al-Nassr is ready to make a new attempt to sign him. This decision has the support of Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo, who has a connection with Al-Nassr.
According to reports, Al-Nassr's new coach, Jorge Jesus, also approves of this move. Jesus previously worked with Fernandes at Sporting CP.
In an earlier interview, Fernandes talked about Al-Hilal's attempt to sign him. He said that it would have been an easy move, as he had friends like Ruben Neves and Joao Cancelo at the team. However, he chose to stay at Manchester United to play in big competitions and to stay at a high level.
Fernandes also mentioned that he was asked to join Al-Hilal by the team's president, and that the coach, Amorim, advised him not to go. Manchester United also didn't want to sell him, as they didn't need the money.
