When he first heard the crowd shouting "Rooeeeeefff," Roefs initially thought they were booing him, but he soon realized it was a sign of affection.
"I thought, 'No, they can't be booing me!'" Roefs laughed. "But I soon understood that they were just showing their enthusiasm."
Roefs appreciates the support from the fans and feels it's a great motivator for the team.
He also discussed his goals, stating that it would be nice to make his international debut, but for now, his focus remains on performing well for Sunderland.
"My focus remains on performing at Sunderland," Roefs said.
