Man City will face Wydad AC from Morocco in their first match on June 18th, followed by games against Al-Ain from the UAE and Juventus from Serie A. They could face either Bayern Munich or Real Madrid in the round of 16, depending on the draw.
"We've talked about being the first to win the trophy, and that would be nice," Foden said. "But our main goal is to enjoy the experience, compete against the best, and perform to the best of our ability."
Man City has a large following in the United States, and Foden is looking forward to playing in front of their fans. He's excited for the team to put on a good show and win for their supporters.
Despite a disappointing season, Foden remains optimistic about the team's prospects. He believes that with star striker Erling Haaland and improving defender Nico O'Reilly, they have a strong chance of success.
"Erling is an incredible player," Foden said. "He's unbelievable, and when he's on the pitch, you expect him to score every game. His mentality is also impressive, and he's shown how good he is at a young age."
Nico O'Reilly is another player who has caught Foden's attention. "He's a very humble guy who never gets ahead of himself," Foden said. "He's someone I look up to in training, and it's great to see how much he wants to learn and improve."
With the team's strong squad and improving players, Foden is confident that they can achieve great things in the FIFA Club World Cup.
